JAN is an expressionist artist based in Pretoria, South Africa. His work is driven by emotion, instinct and the quiet moments of inspiration found in nature and in people. Each painting begins with a spark, an image, a feeling or a memory that invites him to explore it on canvas.
Working primarily with oil, JAN builds every piece slowly through layers of colour and texture.
