"Eros", JAN presents the male figure through the powerful visual language of linocut. Bold carved lines and high contrast black and white shapes define the torso with striking clarity, while the vertical marks in the background create rhythm and movement around the figure.

The work explores themes of vulnerability, intimacy and quiet strength. The downward posture of the figure introduces a contemplative mood, contrasting the physical power of the body with a sense of introspection. As with much of JAN’s work, the human form becomes both subject and metaphor, reflecting the emotional and symbolic depth suggested by the title Eros.
