"Zeus" JAN explores the raw power and presence of the male form through the bold language of linocut. Strong contrasts of black and white carve the figure out of a dense field of intersecting lines, creating a sense of energy and movement around the body. The textured background almost vibrates against the sharp silhouette, giving the work a powerful graphic intensity.

The piece balances strength with vulnerability. The figure is monumental yet introspective, echoing the mythological presence suggested by the title. As with much of JAN’s work, the body becomes both subject and symbol, a place where power, identity and emotion intersect.
